The River In The Pines      솔 숲사이로 시냇물은 흐르고

 

Oh, Mary was a maiden when the birds began to sing      메리는 아름다운 아가씨였었죠 새들이 노래하는
She was sweeter than the blooming rose so early in the spring 봄이 되면 그녀는 활짝 핀 장미보다도훨씬 더 달콤했죠
Her thoughts were gay and happy and the morning gay and fine    그녀는 맑고 화창한 아침처럼 쾌활하고밝았죠
For her lover was a river boy from the river in the pines  왜냐면 그녀의 애인은 솔밭사이를 흐르는 강에서 왔으니까요

They plant the wild flowers upon it  in the morning fair and fine그들은 화창하고 맑은 아침,무덤위에 야생화를 심네

 It is the grave of two young lovers  from the river in the pines 솔밭사이로 흐르는 강가의 두 젊은 연인의 무덤이죠.

어느 까페에서 가사를 옮겨오다 틀린 영어가사도 고치고, 말도안되는 번역도 나름대로 의미에 맞도록 고쳤습니다.
