거의 천국과 같은 나의 고향산천
푸른 산등성이 사이로 강물이 유유히 흐르는
나무보다는 더 오래고 산보다는 덜 오래된
그 곳에서, 나의 얘기들은 바람처럼 자라났지요..
시골길 나의 집으로 데려다 줘요
내가 있어야 할 그 곳
엄마 품 같은 나의 고향산천

나의 모든 추억은 그 곳 고향 주변에 묻혀 있어요
세류에 물들지 않은 순박하고 인심 좋은 이웃들
삶은 점점 어둡고 힘겨워만 지고
집에서 빚은 막걸리 한 잔 술에 내 눈에는 어느새 눈물이
아침에 눈을 뜨면 나는 고향이 부르는 소릴들어요.
라디오가 멀리 떨어져 있는 나의 고향 소식을 전해 주는군요
차를 타고 길을 따라 달려가면서 나는 생각하네
요즈음 고향엘 한 번 다녀 왔어야 했는데
